It is crAPP! They need to include debugging tools into their shopify app connection to give better information about what is not allowing catalogs, meta accounts, and other linkages that are necessary to facilitate creating a working store! They don't want you to use your Shopify account, Meta wants you to use their product catalog and derive it all from them. I and many others have been unable to connect our stores for years! With an "S".

Data does not share very well and when certain events simply have not happened yet, Facebook flags them as Pixel connectivity problems which is very annoying. Also, the biggest issue is that the Shopify product catalog randomly stops syncing to Facebook, so I'll upload new products and they won't sync with Facebook. And in order to fix the issue I need to uninstall the app from Shopify, delete my catalog in Facebook, reinstall the app in Shopify, reconnect to Facebook and create a new catalog... and then I have to wait for hours to see if the catalog will sync. Many times it does not and I need to contact support who basically tell me to do the same thing over again. It's an absolute joke of an integration. Whoever built it is an idiot. Either that, or Facebook or Shopify keep making changes to the API and breaking things. Either way, it's idiotic and an absolute costly pain in the backside for a business owner.

Probably the most difficult thing I have ever done on the internet. The directions seem clear yet do not work. The support is as if coming from am automated response system without any human common sense help. And even once it seems like I've received help, it still doesn't work. I submitted an ad without even having a stupid pixel active...which seem like a waste of 20 bucks. I'd like to submit another ad, but I still do not have an active pixel, so I am not going to do it. I wish someone from Facebook/Meta would actually assist me with their system.

I find the Meta Business Manager to be quite complicated, so I appreciate that this app makes it easier to set up a shop on Facebook and Instagram.

However, I would like to see the app offer an option for creating Shopping Campaigns in just a few simple steps.

Additionally, I suggest that the app also includes WhatsApp integration. I’ve been trying to install WhatsApp on my own through Meta Business Manager, but I keep getting error messages. It’s messy and confusing.

Connecting to my store to my facebook and instagram has been an impossible task! I have done it over a dozen times providing all they ask. Review for two days and sometimes it goes live, sometimes denied. Either way I get a store suspended after using either method. No explanation, except an inaccurate one.

Unfortunately, FB purchases on our shopify store do not allow for any modification to the sale price. If a customer prefers a discount from a damaged item, or wants to purchase a return label from the original purchase we don't have any options to modify the order. It is very limiting and not a good user experience.

Fairly useless channel. Things keep getting disconnected. When I try to reconnect I only get error messages.

I'm too worn out to continue to provide free QA services to large corporations. Y'all can monitor your own logs to figure out where things are going wrong and fix it.

I like the way the app syncs with Facebook and Instagram however I've had multiple issues sorting out the pixel. Facebook meta teams say I need to contact Shopify and Shopify team says I need to contact Facebook, so I am very frustrated at this very point!

Setup was a little tedious, but once you have connected your store correctly there is nothing else to worry about, has worked well as a sales channel for me.

2/14/25 - I am using this with a supplementary feed. I am showing product price in the images i am generating for the supplementary feed. The images update every time the product price changes. This Meta app is NOT keeping the items in sync on an hourly basis like it should. Meta support is obscenely slow and behind the times with their capabilities. Shopify customers deserve better customization and support.

2/26/25 - after being passed from one meta support person to the next, they finally got me over to their commerce manager team. I did a screen recording and gave them examples of products that were out of sync and they kept addressing the individual examples i gave them and not the root problem. After calling them out on this, they simply replied asking for another product example. They are completely incompetent. I am replacing this feed with something else. Meta support is pathetic.
