Has greatly improved/streamlined our online support processes and response times.
This is one of the best customer messaging systems. It keeps the previous conversation records, which makes it easy to communicate with the customer. The only thing is that you can not send PDF files or Excel invoices.
Think the inbox is great, keeps everything organised and notifications come through to website/email easily.
I have found setting up laptop notifications a little more tricky.
Easy to use and a great way to keep in touch with customers
Easy peasy. Works well for chat. Would be an absolute killer app if it could accept and manage inbound emails rather than just through the widget.
It's great being able to add this to our customer service game without having to add another subscription to our operations. Other apps may offer more (I wouldn't know) but this is a great option to have without investing time, money and effort into getting chat going.
Its a decent free app and will continue to use.
Its very basic with no options for ticket agent allocation and no reporting.
It shows order and customer information but it doesnt give a link to the product page the customer is looking at, it tells you the page title and then you have to guess
I love Shopify Inbox! There are some, of course, some things that could be improved upon. For example, I'd LOVE it if users could search within the Mail app for messages from specific users or for messages pertaining to specific products or key words. Sometimes I have to research something for a response, and then it's hard to find that particular message again. That being said, it's an amazing tool and it's FREE. It's also fairly user-friendly and simple. Thank you!

We just want to share that we do currently have a search feature on the Inbox website and mobile app. At inbox.shopify.com, you can find the search icon on the left sidebar, to the right of your store name. On mobile, the search bar is above the conversation list. We support searching by keywords as well as customer names and emails.

Unfortunately the instant answers cannot be translated. So they are useless in multi-language shops. Also AI-generated answers (to frequently asked questions) are lacking.
Pro: Setup quick and easy.
Great functionality, but honestly the UI looks like its built by kindergarden pre-school kids. Very disappointed for something built by Shopify actual staff.
No way to further customize floating widget button, intrusively too large for Desktop & Mobile. No way to set what and how the button is displayed. No way to set where to display.
Added functionality to further customize the look, size of widget & how it is embedded in the pages would push this to 5star app. Currently its really fundamental and lacking.
