Used the paid version for our other websites and worked fine until we wanted to improve our booking system. Admin dashboard can be confusing and when you contact support they talk to you in a condescending tone, very unprofessional. For the price there are better options.

I can admit that the settings in the app can be a bit challenging for our customers, and we are working on providing our customers with a better UI and user experience.

2025 EDIT: I've been using BookThat for more than six years. We currently have a waitlist issue that I've gone back and forth with support for more than 3 weeks. This app is crucial to my business, and I'm spending way too much time re-re-explaining the issue to tech support.
I also feel that the apps appearance in my theme is sloppy and amateurish. It's like you're on a nice website, then you go to register or waitlist for a class and you're in an archaic interface. Seems like for what I pay, the app could look a little more streamlined.
Edit: The following issue from 2018 has been fixed. My experience in recent years has been positive. Thank you BookThat!
If your product has a capacity limit, be warned: there is an integration issue between Book That and Shopify that has yet to be resolved. Therefore, if your customer leaves their class/tour in their cart or if they respond to an abandoned cart email, they will be able to purchase the class/tour--even if it's sold out. Further, those bookings will not appear on your run sheet "roster." We've had several very dicey and embarrassing moments when classes overfilled, catching us off guard and making us look very amateurish. We teach cooking classes, so not having enough ingredients for paying customers is an epic fail. I am not alone in this experience. Read through these reviews, and you'll read about other companies with overbooked tours and classes.
Of course, you can manually monitor your Shopify sales and compare them against your Book That bookings, but I don't feel I should have to go through this added layer of effort--it's the reason why I pay for the app.
Book That is aware of the issue and is currently unable to rectify the problem as they are unable to access the code. We have paid two different third party developers to help us with this issue and our current workaround is: 1) adding a cart timer and 2) directing abandoned cart emails to the product versus the cart. Neither are fixes nor make for a positive customer experience.
For a booking app that works with Shopify, this is our only option. Once Shopify and Book That work out this issue, this will be a five-star product.

Update: D'Angelo seems to no longer be working for the company and there have been many issues that have arisen recently where unscheduled dates are showing up on the widget for customers to sign up. When I contacted support for help, my inquiry was basically brushed off and I was told to contact him again if it keeps happening. When it keeps happening and this is unacceptable since I have to call customers to apologise and reschedule. I am very disappointed and will be looking for another app to replace this one.
The features are pretty comprehensive and are exactly what we're looking for. Support by D'Angelo, who is almost always available, is top notch. He deserves a raise for sure as he definitely stands out amongst other support agents. The setup requires a bit of tweaking in order to make everything look good. Availability of API is valuable, but does require quite a huge jump in monthly subscription charge. Other than this last point, we have no complaints.

Terrible - Ever since the 2 factor authentication there is a constant problem logging in. If you don't mind changing your password for every login it's not a problem but I find it very frustrating
We were using this app to run bookings for our high end rental property. I didn't think it would be difficult. It's stopped working twice, costing us thousands. Shopify needs better app implementation. This is a pain-in-the-ass.
Needs more development.
I used your app for almost 4 months as an Activity/tour booking system for adult and children tickets. However, I had to uninstall it due to several issues.
First, the app didn't allow bookings during events, resulting in the loss of many ticket sales. For example, if we had an event running from 9am to 5pm, customers could only book before 9am. I suggest adding a feature in the backend, like a checkbox, that allows us to "allow customer to book while event is in progress," similar to other apps.
Second, the enrollment and runsheet reports combine the totals for adults and children, making it difficult to track individual ticket types. This requires manually checking each booking. It would be helpful to separate each ticket variant in reports to easily track the number of tickets sold for each type.
I hope you can fix these issues soonest.
